When tasting Nero Avola has an intense ruby red color, brilliant, vibrant, with purple hues, whether young or garnet after aging. The aroma is complex with notes of violets and spices (liquorice and cloves), dried plum, cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry and chocolate, leather and tobacco. Nero Avola is ideal with appetizers and first courses, roasts and stews of meat, seasoned cheese.
