Barolo was called “wine of kings, king of wines”, being the symbol of the unification of Italy, linked to the Savoy court. Barolo was born in the area of Barolo in the Langhe, near Alba, from the Nebbiolo grape. Garnet red color with ruby highlights, Barolo presents an olfactory heritage exceptionally complex, with fruity and floral notes such as violets and vanilla, and spices, which make Barolo a powerful, smart and full of personality wine, so nice to make this an unforgettable wine . To make Barolo important is its structure, that expresses a complex and wrapping bouquet, which can develop over time without losing its characteristics. Can be matched with red meats, game and stews and is an ideal companion with cheese.
garnet red with ruby glints. An intense bouquet of roses, vanilla, toasted hazelnuts, liquorice and spices. Rich, elegant, full-bodied with an austere taste and recurrent undertones of the olfactory sensations. Pleasant scents of goudron and wood in perfect harmony.
The grape bunches are harvested by hand. The must is fermented for 15/20 days in temperature- controlled vats at 28/30°C. A third of the wine is then matured for approx. 2 years in Slavonian and French oak casks, the remaining wine is left for 18 months in small French barrels. The two lots are assembled just prior to bottling where the wine remains for eight months, until fully matured
a wine with good structure, best served with second courses of red meat, braised meats and game in general. Ideal with cheese.
