The Barbera Asti grape is the symbol of the Piedmontese viticulture. Able to express not only the flavors of the land of origin, but also the character of the man who cultivates it, the winemaker: stubborn, sometimes grumpy but always constant, sincere, generous and very attached to traditions. Produced in the area of Nizza Monferrato and San Marzano Oliveto from Barbera grapes, it presents an intense ruby red color with purple hues. The smell is fresh and intense with notes of flowers and berries. The flavor is warm and robust, pleasant and harmonious, dominated by the taste of cherry. It goes very well with appetizers, pasta dishes and main dishes not too demanding.
deep ruby red, with purple nuances. Fresh and intense bouquet with scents of flowers and fruits of the forest, blackcurrants and morello cherries. The taste is dominated by morello cherries and plums, after tasting it leaves the palate complex given the fruity sensations and a trail of velvety smooth tannins, all immersed in a very balanced, lengthy and persistent taste.
Handpicked grapes are softly crushed, destemmed and fermented in thermo-conditioned vats at a controlled temperature of 25°. Macerated for 8-12 days, the wine is racked off almost completely dry. Matured in steel vats for 4 months on fine lees to increase the senses of taste and smell. Matured for a further 2 months in the bottle.
a classic wine that complements all courses, ideal with starters, first and informal second courses
